New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center

I was contact by the folks in New Orleans to help them create a centerpiece for their effort to turn the downtown central business district and arts district into a holiday destination. The newly constructed entrance to the convention center, one of the largest in the country, was the perfect facade. One request of the convention center executives was that we not attach anything to the building! So we designed and built a custom steel grid that clipped onto the existing building structure to hold all of the lighting in place. The RGB pixel tree you see out front is the tallest in the world. At least as far as we know. The video isn’t all that great because every time we went down for a shoot it started raining! But I sure am proud of the word I put in on this project.
